Days Out from Secinaro - Chieti

72km/45miles (1hr 1min) …. Worth a visit for the Museums in the morning then on to Pescara

Start=Secinaro Piazza: Depart Secinaro on Local Road, go through Raiano then head for the Autostrada towards Pescara until you see signs off Right to Chieti. You can see the Wind Turbines on the hill side when you are getting near.

Centro Storico

Chieti to do Chieti is worth a visit but suggest you visit in the morning for a walk around the historic Centro Storico. Then visit the Museum(s) which are quite near to each other, then go on to Pescara for a beach day! Or do some serious Shopping at the Megalò Centro Commerciale. Either way, don’t miss the small Ampitheater at La Civitella di Chieti and then see the Capestrano Warrior displayed in the larger National Archeological Museum of Abruzzo .... an Iconic 6th Century BC stone statue found by a farmer working in his field in 1934. Also, make sure to visit the Cathederal of San Giustino which is the oldest one in Abruzzo.
